Invitation to Organize Special Sessions

Special sessions are prestigious and provide an opportunity to the organizer to define and elevate the quality of the conference by bringing in eminent people and serious researchers to present results that potentially impact the direction of research in that topic. The reward to the organizer and other presenters of such a session is to network closely with the top researchers in their research field, to have an opportunity to influence other researchers in this field, and to mentor young researchers.

Procedure to submit a proposal for a special session:

1. Please send a proposal to organize a special session to Special Session Co-Chairs: Carlo Cecati (c.cecati@ieee.org) and Alex Q. Huang (aqhuang@ncsu.edu), and also cc to General Chair: Mo-Yuen Chow (chow@ncsu.edu)

2. The proposal should contain the following:

(i) Topic
(ii) Organizer's name, complete address, phone number and email address
(iii) How many papers in that session planned for (4-6 papers per session)
(iv) Who is being invited to present papers in that session
(v) Submit the names of the authors who will participate in the session and their addresses and email addresses
(vi) Names of the session's chair and co-chair

Some of this may be filed at a later date when all the information is available. Please start with items (i) to (iii) and then send other information as they become available.

3. Submission deadline: May 6, 2005

We are looking forward to your proposals and an opportunity to work with you for a successful IECON 2005.

With best wishes and regards!
